Empowering the Next Generation: Why Sky Titan Partners with Girls Rock Austin

Confidence. Creativity. Guitar solos. And a better future.
The music industry has long been a boys’ club—and we’re just going to say it:
That needs to change.
Because the next wave of game-changing artists, producers, engineers, and visual creators?
They’re already here. They’re girls. They’re nonbinary. They’re bold, brilliant, and often overlooked.
That’s why Sky Titan is proud to support Girls Rock Austin—a music mentorship nonprofit that’s changing the industry from the ground up, starting with the kids.

Why It’s Important to Support Women in Music
Despite progress, the music industry is still massively male-dominated. Consider these stats:
-
Only 2% of music producers across top charts are women.
-
Less than 22% of all artists signed to major labels are women.
-
Behind the scenes, the numbers are even worse: engineering, production, and executive roles skew heavily male.

So when someone asks,
“Why is the music industry male-dominated?”
…The answer is systemic bias. Limited access. Lack of mentorship. Fewer role models. And a culture that still asks women to prove themselves twice as much.
But Girls Rock Austin is flipping the script by starting early.

What Girls Rock Austin Actually Does (and Why It Works)
Girls Rock Austin creates immersive music education and mentorship programs for young girls and nonbinary youth—especially those from underserved communities.
Their camps teach:
-
Songwriting & performance
-
Confidence & collaboration
-
Self-expression through sound
-
Instrument training
-
And how to own a stage—on their own terms
These aren't just music lessons. They're identity-shaping experiences.
Because confidence at 12 becomes resilience at 20. And that becomes leadership at 30.
