From Merch to Meals: How Your Purchase Fights Hunger in Texas

Because Art Doesn’t Happen on an Empty Stomach
We believe music can change lives.
But it’s hard to write a song when your stomach’s growling.
That’s why Sky Titan proudly donates a portion of profits to the Central Texas Food Bank—because no one should have to choose between creativity and survival.
When we say merch with meaning, this is what we mean.
What We Did: From Band Profits to Bags of Groceries
In 2024, Strings of Atlas, one of our founding artists, chose to donate a portion of their merch sales directly to help feed families in Texas.
Why?
Because the world keeps getting harder for the people who already had it tough.
And after a recent line-item veto from the Texas Governor eliminated key funding for summer food programs, we couldn’t just stay quiet.
This isn’t about politics.
It’s about kids.
It’s about parents trying to make ends meet.
It’s about communities who deserve better.

An Atlas in a Parking Lot — Literally
This isn’t a cute metaphor.
Sky Titan founder Atlas joined the Central Texas Food Bank in Pflugerville to help distribute food during one of their local events—loading bags into trunks, talking to families, showing up for real.

It's not glamorous. But it’s real.
That’s what giving back should be.
Why Food Banks Matter
We often get asked:
-
What are food banks?
-
Is a food pantry free?
-
Why are food banks important to the community?
Here’s the breakdown:
-
A food bank is a distribution center that collects and provides food to local food pantries and programs.
-
Food pantries are free and offer groceries directly to families in need.
-
Many families in Texas qualify, especially during school breaks when free lunches disappear.
But with budget cuts and rising costs, food banks like Central Texas Food Bank need help more than ever.

The Bigger Picture: Hunger, Creativity, and Community
You can’t create art when you’re worried about dinner.
You can’t show up for rehearsal if your family doesn’t have groceries.
You can’t find inspiration when survival is the priority.
That’s why Sky Titan gives back.
Not just to support the artists on stage, but the future artists growing up in Austin, in Pflugerville, in El Paso, and beyond.
We don’t care where you're from.
We don’t care who you voted for.
If you're hungry, you matter.
Your Tee Just Put Food on Someone’s Table
